Unlinked entries reporter

Unlinked entries reporter

Because the CMS saves every entry automatically, we have found that lots of unnecessary components and assemblies are being created but left unused, and are not always easy to find to delete.

This tool:

  • is to help with housekeeping and can be used to find orphaned entries for a given content type that are not being referenced in other entries in Contentful

  • will show archived entries unless you opt to hide them from your search results

  • shows only component and assembly content types - so to find pages that are not linked to the site navigation, please see the orphaned page finder tool instead

  • will currently only show one content type at a time as referencing all content at once is a huge request to make on the system - however, once we’ve done an initial clear out to reduce content, we will aim to iterate on this to allow users to see all content types relating to them at once
